Opened in April 2023, this is the most authentic looking new pub I've seen. It reminds me a little of the Volunteer in Keighley, except that despite opening at 11am on a Tuesday, this one was empty when I arrived. There are three hand pumps on the end of the very handsome and traditional bar counter, with just Holt Bitter and Ossett Silver King on. I went for the latter and it was tremendous (NBSS 4.5, £4.20), perfectly clear and tasting gorgeous. This is an easy tram journey from the city centre, so I'll have to get back here some time.

Visited on a Thursday afternoon back in March, to discover three hand pulls at the bar but one off, leaving Brightside Odin and something by Purple Moose. My Odin set me back £1.90 for a half.
Snug is styled as a small traditional pub rather than a micro pub, with a dark wooden bar, drinking shelves, copper topped tables and stained glass. The ceiling was adorned with mock dirty stained pub ceiling wallpaper. There is an upstairs area that I didn't investigate; I assume this is for extra seating.
The ale selection was reasonable enough for my short stay, without being especially exciting.

Snug is a small and thin pub with a flagstone floor and an L-shaped bar counter on the right-hand wall that faces banquette seating in the front window and a beer shelf with stools up the left. At the rear is a table with some more banquette seating. I didn’t venture upstairs. There were only ten or so people in during my recent Saturday evening visit, but it still felt busy and there was a good atmosphere with the loud music being supplied by Now 80s. Standard and premium keg was available and I counted three hand pumps. One was unused and I couldn’t see the other two due to bar blockers. It’s a shame as I only noticed them on the front section of bar on my way out.
